About the crazy.....

My photo
GA, United States
Just a southern gal from Georgia who has a real problem with baking. And by problem I mean, I can't help myself! :D I am married to the love of my life, he puts up with me so well! I am mother to the most adorable, yet tough little boy. And mother to a most beautiful full of attitude, little girl. I can't forget about our 4-legged family members! Our terrier Lucy, Our Great Dane Milo, our mutty mutt Ellie and our cats Abbey and Sammy! I LOVE to bake and I am trying to start up my own cupcakery. I love vintage anything! My blog started out as a blog for my cupcakes, now it has turned into an everyday into the life of "ME" blog. Life is not perfect and wonderful all the time, you will hear me gripe, bahahaha, it isn't all cupcakes. Just a heads up per say. :D Hope your reading experience is enjoyable! And please be sure to comment, follow, and grab my button!

NO CUPCAKES?!?!? Seriously?!?!

Today, I finally got a return phone call from my son's, 'soon-to-be' school Principal. She was calling to inform me that I need to get him registered because as of now, he is late. Well, this would have been nice to know the past 100x I have called you! (That's what I wanted to say). And so, I asked a few questions and found out to my horror, that 'NO- DO NOT bring cupcakes to school for birthdays'.

"Wait, I am sorry, haha, I didn't hear you". "No cupcakes for birthdays, we have too many things to teach and we don't have time to keep stopping every time a child has a birthday". WOW. You really just came out and said it just like that, and to a, 'soon-to-have a  cupcakery' mother?!?! Who do you think you are? This is an outcry. Those poor children who miss out on my delicious heaven I call cupcakes. But, the one thing that gets me is that, this is the only school like that.

My new neighbor teaches at the adjoining county high school, and she told me I was in luck because, I would have a TON of kids who would want cupcakes for their birthdays. UGH! So, I am a smidge ill today. And my poor baby was so excited because "His mommy's cupcakes rock and he wanted all the little children to know how yummy they are, and I would get lots of money!" <---- Yes those are HIS words! ;) hehe. And so I said: "That's ok buddy, I will just pass them out in the Pick-up Line!" :)

What? No cupcakes? Do they not care about the tastebuds of the children? I'd write to congress. This is just....unconstitutional. I'm pretty sure there's a law about being allowed to eat cupcakes in school

What, no cupcakes for a birthday. I always make cupcakes for my kids and grand-children birthdays. All kids should have cupcakes taken to school, soccer games, or just for fun.
I have become a follower via FMBT, come by and visit maybe you can do the same.

Maybe I'm "Old School" but I don't think there is anything wrong with bringing a few cupcakes in for someone's birthday! What IS wrong with the school's today???? Let's start a petition!
