Just a southern gal from Georgia who has a real problem with baking. And by problem I mean, I can't help myself! :D I am married to the love of my life, he puts up with me so well! I am mother to the most adorable, yet tough little boy. And mother to a most beautiful full of attitude, little girl. I can't forget about our 4-legged family members! Our terrier Lucy, Our Great Dane Milo, our mutty mutt Ellie and our cats Abbey and Sammy! I LOVE to bake and I am trying to start up my own cupcakery. I love vintage anything! My blog started out as a blog for my cupcakes, now it has turned into an everyday into the life of "ME" blog. Life is not perfect and wonderful all the time, you will hear me gripe, bahahaha, it isn't all cupcakes. Just a heads up per say. :D Hope your reading experience is enjoyable! And please be sure to comment, follow, and grab my button!
Prepare yourself, for this is going to be, a long post (picture wise). :D Today I have been a baking whirlwind! I know this because my husband would complain that I was neglecting him. Poor thing. (Note the subtle sarcasm) Anyways, I got around to cutting and gluing all of my kuppy wrappers and getting them ready for dark chocolate kuppies. And yes, today I FINALLY made my popcorn kuppies! They were soooo cute, just so cute that I couldn't bring myself to *GULP*, EAT them. So, I let my family do it instead! The rest of the kuppies I iced and placed in their new little homes, until they are eaten, for a long night. I have posted a FEW pictures. Also, today I let my kids color on cookies I made yesterday. Today was not such a good cookie day, it was my very first time doing cookies, and I didn't even have a #1 tip, which really hurt my ideas. But practice makes perfect! Well I will be getting off the computer now, if I don't I won't be able to fetch my kids their cinnamon toast in the morning! :D Peace, Love, and Kuppies!
So yesterday I must have made about 6 cupcake wrappers. HAHA. I know, HUGE accomplishment. Well today I will be finishing them and also filling them with cute and adorable kuppies. Thank goodness that I got a stencil from Skip To My Lou, thank you!!! Went to the hobby store and found boo-koos of paper waiting to be turned into a most wonderful kuppy wrapper. (Or atleast in my mind they are.) I did some, old style vintage looking dirty carnival popcorn ones, and I can't wait to get to the grass ones for our soccer party, the dinosaurs for my son, the butterflies for my daughter, the vintage U.S. flag for Memorial day, and the VINTAGE VALENTINES CARDS!!!! Can you tell I am a smidge excited, over paper, I know contain yourself!
Finally got my robot kuppies finished, a little disappointed, but cute none-the-less. It took me a hot minute, but I guess thats what I get for trying to cook dinner at the same time. I wish that I had covered the kuppies in liquid fondant first and then let harden, but oh well, next time I will. This was my very first time making these robots, and my son has already requested them again!
I wanted to bake yesterday soooo bad for some reason. So I walked into my pantry to gather ingredients and then for some reason I remembered that HUGE bag of carrots I purchased at Sams. So, I decided to make carrot cake kuppies. Honestly, I have never been a fan of carrot cake until a month ago. And I loved it! But instead of cream cheeses icing, I made a cinnamon buttercream, which tasted like Chik-fil-a ice cream to me. YUM. And so of course I got to cooking, and today I am going to make some Robot Kuppies. Can't wait for this either! I love working with fondant and gumpaste.
