About the crazy.....

My photo
GA, United States
Just a southern gal from Georgia who has a real problem with baking. And by problem I mean, I can't help myself! :D I am married to the love of my life, he puts up with me so well! I am mother to the most adorable, yet tough little boy. And mother to a most beautiful full of attitude, little girl. I can't forget about our 4-legged family members! Our terrier Lucy, Our Great Dane Milo, our mutty mutt Ellie and our cats Abbey and Sammy! I LOVE to bake and I am trying to start up my own cupcakery. I love vintage anything! My blog started out as a blog for my cupcakes, now it has turned into an everyday into the life of "ME" blog. Life is not perfect and wonderful all the time, you will hear me gripe, bahahaha, it isn't all cupcakes. Just a heads up per say. :D Hope your reading experience is enjoyable! And please be sure to comment, follow, and grab my button!

"This is the song that Doesn't end...."

Do you ever feel like your stuck in a bad re-run of Lambchop?
And you must endure the same song.

Over.

And over.

Again?

You all know what song I am talking about. I am NOT going to type it here, for fear that it too will invade your brain, and you will be stuck humming it for the next 3.5 days.

BUT.....

Today is one of those days.
Last night I made a delicious meal of crock pot chili, cornbread, fritos, and a homemade peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream to boot.

I was enjoying it!!!

And then, I got to enjoy it again, and pull a muscle at the same time.
Thank God for my friend Jennifer who can make a mean rice sock.

On top of being sick and woozey, my kids yelled for me to come into the sunroom. {Usually this kind of prompt command is one of two things: dog poop (new puppy), or cat poop (new puppy who likes to dig for buried treasure}

And then I heard it: "It's not dog poop!"
"Oh- Phew" I thought.

WRONG!

I walk in there to find, what looks like spaghetti, and then as soon as that thought crossed my mind.... I knew it.

OH MY GEEZ-- EWWW-- GROSS-- RUN-- WASH--- YOUR-- HANDS-- RIGHT--THIS-- INSTANT!!!!

Being the big tough mom that I am, I hollered for MY mom and had her pick it up. {You know, due to being sick, fear of having to clean up TWO messes}

And if your wodnering, no I do not live at home, my mum lives with me.
I am overjoyed. ;) Love you mom!

I ran through the house demanding washed hands, new socks, shoes, wash hands again! Then I was on the hunt for more of these disgusting pests. Found more, in my room, front doorway {It's ok-- it's clean-- you can come ova} and now I am running around like a freak with Lysol spray, bleach, a prepped carpet cleaner, vacuum cleaner, and whatever else. I have the heeby-jeebies!! EEEKKK ICCCKK... Needless to say I grabbed up Elle super quickly, and off to the vet we ran.

Now she is staying outside, or in the garage for the next 2 days. YUCK.
ICK. Eww.. I am sorry if any of you were eating, or trying to, or about to, or thinking about it for the next couple of days. HAHA.

All aboard the gross train! TOOT TOOT! <-- No pun intended.

HAPPY 2012!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I hope evryone's 2012 is starting off right. Get those resolutions moving and jiving. I have a few, but one is to start another blog. I know what you're thinking.... "Another blog?!! She can't even post on THIS one!"

And, your right. LOL. But I feel like I am limited to what I can post on here, since it is technically for my business. So, I am creating another blog and linking the two together. This one for Kuppy Kakes (which will be updated weekly if not daily- another resolution) and then one for everyday life of kuppy. Not sure what I will call it yet, any suggestions?

So, now that that is covered, what are soem of YOUR resolutions for the new year?

Right now, im cooking my family, some collards and black eyed peas!
Need all the luck I can get this year.

:D

We celebrated last night at a friends house, which we exited soon after, can't go into the deets.

And then we went home, read a couple of books and headed to our town's celebration. The 2012 Villa Rica Gold Nugget Drop. Sounds tantalizing, huh?! ;) Here's a pic of the actual gold nugget:

Well, we had our countdown, and then the huge "nugget" dropped. The fireworks were being set off and the band was kicking. My kids were so ready to "drop" themselves after all of the fun. So we headed home and got all warm and snuggly and konked out. I wish I would have taken pictures, but I couldn't find my stinkin' camera and my hands were too warm in my gloves to try it with my phone. :)

Have a wonderful New Year's, Be safe, Eat well, and Pray often!
You know, it doesn't have to be Thanksgiving to give and show thanks for the people and things in our lives.

HAPPY 2012!!!
