About the crazy.....

My photo
GA, United States
Just a southern gal from Georgia who has a real problem with baking. And by problem I mean, I can't help myself! :D I am married to the love of my life, he puts up with me so well! I am mother to the most adorable, yet tough little boy. And mother to a most beautiful full of attitude, little girl. I can't forget about our 4-legged family members! Our terrier Lucy, Our Great Dane Milo, our mutty mutt Ellie and our cats Abbey and Sammy! I LOVE to bake and I am trying to start up my own cupcakery. I love vintage anything! My blog started out as a blog for my cupcakes, now it has turned into an everyday into the life of "ME" blog. Life is not perfect and wonderful all the time, you will hear me gripe, bahahaha, it isn't all cupcakes. Just a heads up per say. :D Hope your reading experience is enjoyable! And please be sure to comment, follow, and grab my button!

So, What'ya think?

I have decided to throw a cupcake party! My main objective is to get everyone over here, make different kinds of cupcakes, then have them give me feedback. I need to know which flavors suit which palate, and which ones don't. Also, I need to have them taste some different cookies as well. Is this a good idea? And does anyone have any ideas on how to go about this. I love a good party, but hosting a good party, I have never had to do. Feedback is EXTREMELY WELCOME. Should I go with a theme, and then name flavors after it? Should I make a cupcake bar and have them select their own flavors, or just give them a plate with all and say have it? When receiving feedback, should I ask them up front, or have them write it down anonymously? I am NOT a party planner, I am a planner, and I am OCD about it, but putting it all together is what I have trouble with. Don't get me wrong, I am creative and all, yet, getting it out. UGH. Do you catch my drift?! HA HA. I feel like I am talking in circles! :) Complete madness inside of my head. Oh yes, and I don't want it to be so informal! I would like to be able to do different things, not just come over-eat-leave. OK, I am done whining. :) Hopefully my beloved, amazing, hilarious, witty, down to earth, cozy followers will know it all!

You shouldn't make it too big of a party. Keep some water around so people can rinse their pallets between cupcakes. Comment cards for everyone might give good feedback too. They can list what they loved about each cupcake or what they think might make it better.

I wish I lived closer. I love cupcakes. When I was pregnant with Ella, I would drive to Wal-Mart and get some of the cupcakes out of the bakery at 10 p.m., lol. And, those aren't even the good kid.

I agree about the comment cards. Maybe fill each plate with mini cupcakes and have a comment card beside each plate?

I would do it like a wine tasting party...give them samples of the cupcakes and have them give you ideas for a name...then have extras that they can take home...a sampling of sorts.

Oh, I wish I lived close, I would come!
