Ok, so today I was minding my own business, doing my own thing, when........ SMASH!!! I hit a man who took a left hand turn in front of me! We hit so hard it was so loud. The impact made us all fly forward and the kids flew forward from their car seats. Instantly panicked because I was waiting for the air bag to pop out and smash my face. I am so short that I have to sit super close to the steering wheel, and I was dreading that bag.
It is so funny how it happened so fast, yet felt like it was in slow-mo. Odd, I know. Well I got out of the car to inspect and literally almost hit the ground. My legs were shaking so bad I could hardly stand and speak to the man. Of course, he knew it was his fault, because he said he did not want to pay the deductible on his insurance. So, I knew it wasn't my fault. The man did not want to wait for the police and he was in a hurry.
Well he better be glad that he was super nice and worried, or else I would have tore him a new one! I was so livid! What the heck were you thinking?! Don't you know that what you did was extremely dangerous, and if I had been going ANY faster it could have been horrible!!! Check on myself and my kids all you would like, I am still pissed at you. Luckily, my car did not sustain any damage, his had a dent in the front bumper, but that was it.
After that I took the kids to McD's for lunch and ice cream, and of course they were good, I was still so shaky and anxious. UGH. I loathe bad situations. Especially ones that could injure my children! I just really wanted to vent. Sweet ladybug fell right to sleep when we left the accident site, sweet girl. Funny thing is, I had just hung up with my hubby, who decided to argue with me over some popcorn, and when I called him to let him know, how silly do you think he felt for arguing with me over popcorn when something bad almost happened to us? Yeah, sweet talking and apologetic.
Popcorn didn't seem so important then did it honey? HA. Next time you better pick your battles. :D
