Memorial Day

I want to start off by saying a huge THANK YOU to all of the brave men and women who have served, who serve, and who will serve our country! Without your bravery and your self this world would not be where it is today and I thank you! Today was a great day. It started out kind of rocky with misbehaving dogs and kids, but turned out fantastic! The family came over and we grilled out and I made some Memorial Day pound cake cupcakes with stars on top. Basic. Simple. But cute. Or so my neice and kids say. : ) I started out wanting to make a square cake and cover it with fondant and cut out starts and stripes, but then I got so overwhelmed by all of the food I had to prepare and the house I had to clean in 3 hours, so I said, fuh-get-about-it, and stuck to Kuppies. And pound cake kuppies were great, a little more dense than what I am used to, but they were still tasty. I hope everyone had a safe and fun Memorial Day!
